Kritirecharge 2012 Summer School Open

Kritirecharge 2012 Summer School.

Want to learn to programme, want to gain a useful skill that is not taught up to now in the majority of schools but which Eric Schmidt of Google has identified as something that will be important for the UK in the decades to come.

I am Running a Virtual Summer School for a number of people, will be subscription based for the summer ie access to a Group page and a paper manual with Internet Safety Tips, Will be blogging a little later more details,

Essentially we will be learning to program in a new Language called Squeak designed to teach programming to students of the age 13+ (thirteen plus for this group since the group page is a private Facebook page to which parents are also members for Safeguarding Student reasons and so they can find out what these new innovative technologies are all about).  We will also be looking at how we program to produce Android Apps, the Language Scratch and Labview software that is used in real world applications by companies as well as shipped with Lego educational toys.

The big Question? How much?
Essentially initial manual and access will be priced at £10.  This will cover the period 23/07/2012 to 3/09/2012.   After 3/09/2012 the summer school closes to new subscribers and activity will be limited to Group page.
